Skoglund and Tostrud Athletic Centers, Art Barn

Down the hill is the home of St. Olaf Athletics and Recreation. The Skoglund and Tostrud centers combined are home to three basketball courts, a swimming pool, a hockey rink, an indoor track, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, baseball and softball fields, a soccer field, and the facility is the starting point for cross country races and the vast St. Olaf Natural Lands. The Skoglund Athletic Center also hosts the on-campus performances of the renowned St. Olaf Christmas Festival. At the edge of the St. Olaf Natural Lands, there is a re-creation of the original Art Barn, where the Art Department started. Some pieces of the original Art Barn were saved when the old building was demolished and were used in the construction of the building you see today. It is now a flexible multipurpose space.
